Sylvester's new book is "Breathe and Count Back from Ten," is a powerful story about a Peruvian American teen with hip dysplasia who is navigating tense family dynamics while dreaming of auditioning to become a mermaid performer at a theme park. This book is a tribute to bodies with a range of abilities. It touches on body boundaries and balancing self and family.
