Build a Strong Financial Foundation
Many of us are the first in our families to earn more money than our parents ever did. It’s exciting, but it also comes with pressure and confusion. Suddenly we are managing salaries, benefits, and credit cards without a financial playbook.
We are like the talented athletes who get recruited - full of potential, but not always equipped with the tools to manage newfound success. And just like them, we can easily fall into the trap of living paycheck to paycheck.
Let’s not make this mistake.
As a first-gen Latina professional, I know how powerful financial knowledge can be and how few of us have been expose to it. Many of us are navigating money, family responsibilities, and new levels of income at the same time without guidance.
This workshop is my way of helping others avoid the stress, shame, and setbacks I faced. Consider me like your older sister. I’m here to help you build confidence, security, and long-term wealth.
Latina Equal Pay Day is October 8, 2025. It’s a reminder that systematic inequities still exit. Yes, we need institutional change. But we also cannot wait for the system to change before we take action.
The workshop is structure so you’ll learn:
How to organize your money after landing your first full-time corporate job
Understanding credit, debt, and how to build your credit score
Setting up your 401(k) and benefits with confidence
Saving and investing strategies to grow your money from day one
