Kat Carbajal Mezarina works for an International Cooperation in Peru and is currently developing projects on education and gender equality in different provinces. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and is internationally certified as an ESL Teacher by Cambridge University. She has been an ambassador for The World Literacy Foundation and has a publication on US immigration policy and humanitarian impact. She has also worked in an NGO in the United States that provides legal and educational services to refugee women who are overcoming gender-based violence.
