99 (español) Gastronomía peruana, más que sabor, un patrimonio

Yuki Nakandakari, simply known as Yuki, is a Peruvian chef from Washington DC considered by many as a natural powerhouse of creativity. Yuki, of Japanese ancestry, was born in Peru and grew up between Lima and Arequipa. He started his professional career in Tokyo, Japan, where he lived for 3 years in the early ’90s, absorbing old-school oriental techniques from the various places he worked at. He won the Professional Of The Year Award of 2016 by the Hispanic Maryland Chamber of Commerce and the certificate from the Congress of the United States of America, recognizing his merits to propel the rich Peruvian culture within the United States. Chef Yuki has also put Ocopa Restaurant on the 1st Michelin guide in Washington D.C. for 2017, where the Michelin inspector reviewed his creations with extreme pleasure and satisfaction. Currently, chef Yuki writes his "Columna Gastronómica" in two of the most influential Spanish newspapers in the nation's capital. "El Tiempo Latino" and "Somos Baltimore."
